Student Assignment:  Write a Concert Report

You may attend live concerts or visit From the Top.org and view a show from their archives.  If you watch an archived show be sure to make note of the number and it’s original air date for your report.

Directions:  Report on a live Classical Music concert or an Archived Show using Fromthetop.org links above.

Describe at least two of the selections and give details about it.  When was it written?  What instrument or voice performs it? What musical elements are featured? What did you think about the performers presentation? Did they play or sing with confidence and skill?   Do additional research to provide a biographical sketch (at least 5 sentences) about the Composer (s).

Complete a 3-5 page double spaced typed concert report using the template provided on the  Handouts page of the class web site.  Refer to the Help with Writing Research Papers and Reports page also if needed.
